Oxford University Women's Association Football Club is the elite ladies' football (AKA soccer) squad of the University of Oxford. It is open to all students of the University and its affiliated institutions. It is part of OUAFC , one of the oldest football clubs in the world (founded in 1872).

We have two teams which compete regularly in BUSA Leagues: the 1st XI, known as the Blues, and the 2nd XI, otherwise known as the Furies. Each also has its own Varsity match, the annual contest between Oxford and Cambridge.

College Football

Several members of the OUWAFC committee are also responsible for organising the inter-college football competitions. These are the University of Oxford's version of inter-mural contests. All students are a member of one of its colleges, of which there are more than 35, and most have a team which any member of that college may join. There is also a team open to both staff members and those postdoctoral researchers without any college affiliation.

During the regular season (Michaelmas and Hilary Terms) there are concurrent League and Cuppers (Cup) competitions, while a 5-a-side competition is held at the start of Trinity Term.

For more information, including details of how to join a team (whether your own college has one or not), please check out the College Football teams section of the site.
